No Rain bass tabs

Band: Blind Melon
Song: No Rain
Album: Blind Melon
Tuning: Standard

Well I've had a look at the two other No Rain (well, one was 'No Rains') tabs on this site,
and neither really resemble the way I play it. When I first wanted to learn to play it I
looked at many tabs for it over the web, but not many seemed right. I think this is more
a bunch of them mixed together than my own work. Some was by my own ear, but as I say other
bits & bobs I took from other tabs which only seemed partly correct. I give credit to all
the people who have tried to tab it out, because all of their attempts have obviously
helped me to make this tab. :)
I have no idea if this is the way Brad Smith actually plays it. He's brilliant, though...

Solo.
The solo is just the same as verse 2.You could just play the verse riff over,
but here are some alternatives I like to play:
1.
G|——————9~———————————————————|
D|—————————676———7—————7—9———|
A|———7~————————5———7—9———————|
E|———————————————————————————|

2.
G|——————————————————————————|
D|——————7~—454——————————————|
A|———5~————————5—0h4h5—7~———|
E|——————————————————————————|

3.
G|——————————————————————————————|
D|——————————6h7p6———7~——————————|
A|———9—7h9~———————5————4—0h5~———|
E|——————————————————————————————|
And any other variations you can think of, but there should be about 8 bars of it.

Outro. x4
G|———————9~—————————————|
D|o—————————6h7p6——————o|
A|o———7~——————————5~———o|
E|——————————————————————|

That should be all. :) Hope you enjoy this tabulature and playing this song!
It's a great song to just groove along to and improvise around, so use your bass
and your skills to their full potential!

No Rain Bass Tabs – Learn to Play the Classic Song

Introduction

If you’re a bass guitarist and you’ve never tried playing “No Rain” by Blind Melon, it’s time to add it to your repertoire! This classic song is not only a great one to perform for others, but it’s also a fantastic way to hone your bass playing skills. In this article, we’ll guide you through the No Rain bass tabs, so you can start playing this iconic song with ease.

Getting Started

Before we dive into the No Rain bass tabs, let’s first discuss the basics. What is a bass tab? In short, it’s a visual representation of where your fingers should go on the bass strings. For “No Rain,” we’ll be using a four-string bass. The strings, starting from the thickest to the thinnest, are E, A, D, and G.

When reading bass tabs, you’ll see numbers on each line representing which fret to place your finger on. For example, if you see a “0,” that means to play an open string. If you see a “3” on the A string, that means to place your finger on the third fret of the A string.

Now that we’ve covered the bass tab basics, let’s move on to the No Rain bass tabs themselves!
